The Renault ZOE is Europe's best-selling electric car, with a major update coming soon. According to a media report in addition to the engine and the battery and the exterior and interior design are revised.
The ZOE was first launched in 2013 with a range of just over 200 NEDC kilometers. Since 2017, the small car with one charge of the battery has been able to travel up to 400 NEDC kilometers; according to the new WLTP standard, 316 kilometers are possible. Over the years, new engines have also been introduced.
The second generation of the ZOE builds on its predecessor, reports the French website Largus.fr, However, there have also been reports of a new platform. First Erlkönig images suggest that the French Stromer will in future more closely resemble the gasoline compact car Renault Clio. Bonds to the concept vehicle e-Sport shown in 2017 should also exist.

In the interior, the new ZOE will soon be much more digital with regard to the operating instruments. Depending on the model, a touch screen display up to 9.3 inches should be installed in the center console. Connectivity services and advanced driver assistance systems should also be available.
The engine power of the ZOE should increase from the current 65 kW (88 hp) to the 96 kW (130 hp). The use of a new battery chemistry will increase the range to 400 kilometers according to WLTP standard, it is said. The charging time should improve significantly thanks to compatibility with the European CCS standard and a charging power of up to 100 kW.
Official technical details or the launch of the new ZOE are not yet available. Renault is looking forward to starting production for next September, so the first vehicles could hit the roads later this year.
