Berlin wants to be one of the first European metropolises completely put on electric buses, the existing fleet is to be converted to 2030. Paris also has ambitious e-bus plans: The state-owned public transport company RATP announced the bulk order for 800 vehicles this month.
RATP operates public transport in the French capital and the surrounding countryside. As a first step, 150 buses will be purchased, which are scheduled to be launched between 2020 and 2022. These and other Stromer are supplied in equal parts by the French companies Heuliez Bus, Bollore and Alstom France24,
Paris has set itself the goal of converting bus transport to electric and bi-fuel vehicles by 2025. The operation of the entire bus fleet of nearly 4700 vehicles with "green" models is a very ambitious project: in Paris there is currently only a fully electric bus line. RATP currently has 950 hybrid, 140 biofuel and 83 electric buses in use.
