The electric car startup NIO, founded in 2014, has already introduced three models in its home market of China, with more to follow. Also in this country, the young carmaker wants to sell his Stromer. It will still take until the start of Europe.

In Europe, NIO will focus primarily on its second production car ES6, which can drive 510 E-km at a stretch according to NEDC standard 510. In China, the SUV comes in the middle of the year in the trade. The ES6 falls with a length of 4.85 meters significantly smaller than the 2018 launched large SUV ES8 and has five instead of seven seats. Its direct competitors include the German electric cars Mercedes EQC and Audi e-tron.
In addition to the ES6 and ES8 NIO sold the produced in small series high-performance electric car EP9. Recently, the upcoming sedan ET was presented. In order to avoid the customer's concern about insufficient range and long charging times, NIO offers its own battery changing stations and a mobile charging service.
