Netflix has announced the series with which it will catch the followers of Elite
Welcome to Eden is the new Spanish series with which Netflix wants to re-savor another hit as happened with Elite, Sky Rojo or Las Chicas del Cable. With the premise of a desert island where a party is going to be held, this new series already has the premiere of a second season.
Netflix has announced this week the premiere of its new original project, Welcome to Eden , a series created and written by Joaquín Górriz (Disappeared) and Guillermo López (Trapped) that will feature actors such as Amaia Aberasturi (Akelarre), Amaia Salamanca (Despite of everything) or Sergio Momo (Elite).
Already in 2020 this series was announced by the platform and generated great expectation as its predecessors have done. So far it is known that it will have 8 directed episodes, with locations in Spain such as Barcelona or Lanzarote. As announced, we can see it from May 6.
On the plot of this new project , Netflix has advanced that part of a question, “Are you happy?”, made to Zoa and four other young people, very active in social networks, who are invited to try to answer it “ at the most exclusive story on a secret island, hosted by a new drink brand.
And, what starts out as “a thrilling ride” will soon “completely transform into the ride of a lifetime,” though “paradise isn’t really what it seems,” the platform adds. We leave you the trailer below, so you can take a look at it.
The series has a core cast made up of the aforementioned actors and Belinda Peregrín, Lola Rodríguez (Veneno), Begoña Vargas (High Seas), Ana Mena or Berta Vázquez (Vis a vis), among others.
This new series comes with everything to consolidate itself like Elite, Money Heist or Vis a vis worldwide. And it is that, the promotional part thus shows it. Initially, Netflix presented us with a teaser in the purest Euphoria style in which the protagonists enjoyed the party.
Later he already revealed the release date and explained in a certain way what the concept of Eden meant. In addition, Belinda, a Mexican singer, also advertised the series and was very grateful to be part of the cast.
All this is generating a bubble of intrigue to get to know this new series that we hope will meet its objectives and become the new Spanish success.
