Two fairs, three exciting vehicles from France: At the i-Mobility trade fair in Stuttgart, Peugeot will be presenting two newcomers, who will soon go into production. Citroen fans visiting VivaTech at the Paris Exhibition Center should feel more excited.
The Peugeot 3008 with new four-wheel drive hybrid has its first appearance on the German stage in Stuttgart. The new powertrain will complement the engine offer of the models 508 and 508 SW and 3008 from winter 2019, the French carmaker announces. Both Zero Emission Mode (ZEV) and all-wheel drive (HYBRID4) driving are possible, as well as a sport mode and a versatile hybrid mode.
Under the bonnet is the 1.6 liter PureTech petrol engine, which was specially optimized for the hybrid requirements, including a starter generator and a special cooling air supply. The hybrid drive produces 132 kW / 180 hp, the four-wheel drive variant "HYBRID4" 147 kW / 200 hp. The plug-in hybrid drive features the new e-EAT8 (Electric Efficient Automatic Transmission) eight-speed automatic transmission.
It is charged at the classic household socket or charging station: in seven hours, the battery is charged at 3.3 kW charging power (8A), takes on a reinforced power outlet of the type Green'up (3.3 kW charging power, 14A) the store four hours. In 1:45 hours is at a wall charging station for electric cars (6.6 kW charging power optional, 32A).
In both versions, 300V lithium-ion batteries are installed under the second row of seats, 11.8 kWh or 13.2 kWh is their capacity. Pure electric are up to 50 kilometers range in it. Using energy recovery and features such as e-Save, where the driver decides how he wants to access the electrical energy, make the e-experience even more attractive and efficient in everyday life.
Also new and as a premiere in Stuttgart: the e-208. The all-electric small car leads the way with the 508 oriented design and the new generation 3D-i cockpit. Also on board are – some optional – assistance systems such as the fully automatic parking aid, the Active Lane Keeping Assist or the Mdigkeitswarner.
The electric motor of the e-208 makes 100 kW / 136 hp and creates according to the manufacturer 340 kilometers to WLTP standard. The maximum torque is 260 Newton meters.
Citroen will be presenting a world-premiere concept car at the VivaTech international innovation trade show, which takes place in Paris from 16 to 18 May 2019, to mark the 100th anniversary of the brand. Electric motor and extraordinary design stand for the innovation and the values of the traditional brand from France. Thanks to artificial intelligence, autonomous driving is also possible.
